What is CORA?
 C.O.R.A is the Creekside Outdoor Refreshment Area (commonly known as D.O.R.A - Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area). 

Within the CORA boundaries, patrons are able to purchase a beverage from a participating establishment and enjoy the district, taking your beverage with you. 

In order to participate, you will need to purchase a CORA wristband (valid for 1 day) from a participating establishment and purchase your beverage that will be served in a branded CORA cup. Drinks not placed in a branded CORA cup CANNOT leave the establishment. There are no glass bottles, cans, or outside drinks permitted within the CORA boundaries. ​
The Rules: 
1. CORA Cups are allowed daily, during posted hours
2. CORA Cups are ONLY for drinks from CORA participating establishments
3. Patrons may NOT carry cups into another business location. Cups MUST remain outdoors.
4. Patrons who have received a CORA cup must also have a designated CORA wristband. 
4. Drink and explore within the CORA boundaries - Look for the signs!

YES! You can:
  • Obtain your wristband and purchase a CORA drink from a participating establishment
  • Walk around enjoying the Creekside District using an official branded CORA cup. 
  • Drink responsibly and enjoy! 
NO! You cannot: 
  • Bring your own drinks into the district. 
  • Walk around with an alcoholic beverage NOT in a branded CORA cup. (NO Outside Drinks Permitted!) 
  • Walk around with a CORA cup WITHOUT also having a wristband for that day. 
  • Take a beverage purchased from one liquor serving participant into another liquor serving establishment. 
  • Be irresponsible and ruin the fun!

FAQ S
What are the CORA hours?  Where is the CORA?
The CORA extends from Big Walnut Creek to the east side of High St., and from North Street to Granville St. 
Operating Hours for the CORA are:
Mon. – Wed., 3 pm to 11 pm Thurs. – Sun., 11 am to 11 pm


Can I walk anywhere with my CORA cup?
No, you must stay within the CORA boundaries.  Leaving the CORA with an alcoholic beverage breaks State of Ohio and City of Gahanna open container laws.  You also may not bring any alcoholic beverage into the CORA.

Can I take my CORA cup back inside the establishment in which it was purchased?
No.  Once a CORA cup has left a business, it must be consumed before you enter any other establishment.  This includes reentering the business in which it was purchased or entering a new business.

Can I take an empty CORA cup into a business so I can reuse it?
No.  You must throw away a CORA cup before entering any business.

What types of alcoholic beverage can I have in my CORA cup?
Beer, wine or liquor are allowable in CORA cups.  All beverages MUST be purchased inside one of the participating CORA establishments.

Can I bring my own alcoholic beverage into the CORA?  Can I pour my own alcoholic beverage into a CORA cup and walk around in the CORA?
No.  Only drinks purchased from businesses participating in the CORA are allowed.  No cans, glass bottles, or outside drinks are permitted within the boundaries per the laws of the State of Ohio. _____________________________________________________________________________ Note:  All State of Ohio and City of Gahanna laws regarding public intoxication, impaired driving, and open containers apply to areas both inside and outside of the CORA boundary.  Please drink responsibly.
